The Service is operated by an individual developer based in Turkey, and there is a strict commitment to keeping privacy as straightforward and transparent as possible.

1. Information Collection and Use

Data collection is minimized. Only the information strictly necessary to provide the Service is requested and retained.

Email Address: When an account is created, an email address is collected solely for authentication and login purposes.

Device Permissions (Optional): Certain functionalities in the app—such as scanning, uploading, or dictating book notes—may request access to the device's Camera, Photo Gallery, or Microphone. These permissions are strictly optional. The app will only access these features if permission is explicitly granted by the user, and the data is used entirely to facilitate those specific in-app features.

2. Communications

Promotional or marketing emails are not sent. The only email correspondence generated by BookNotes is a no-reply, automated email sent during the login or registration process to verify identity.

3. Analytics, Tracking, and Remarketing

No Analytics: Analytics tools are not used to track usage behavior within the app or on the website.
No Tracking/Remarketing: Cookies, tracking pixels, or remarketing services are not utilized to follow users across the web or to serve targeted content.
No Third-Party Integrations: The Service does not incorporate external third-party data collection providers, such as Google Places, reCAPTCHA, or similar tracking integrations.

4. Advertising

BookNotes is completely ad-free. There are no partnerships with ad networks, and no third-party advertisements will be displayed while the Service is in use.

5. Payments and In-App Purchases

If a purchase is initiated within BookNotes, the transaction is securely handled entirely by third-party payment processors:

Google Play Store (for Android users)
Apple App Store (for iOS users)

No financial information (such as credit card numbers) is collected, processed, or stored by the Service. Payment information is subject to the respective privacy policies and terms of service of Apple and Google.

6. Data Sharing and Disclosure

Personal information is not sold, traded, or rented to any external entities. Because the app does not use analytics, advertisements, or third-party tracking services, email addresses and personal data remain strictly within the BookNotes ecosystem solely for the purpose of maintaining user accounts.

7. Security

The trust placed in providing an email address is valued, and commercially acceptable means of protecting it are utilized. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.
